Makeup Monday

I'm going to be trying to update a new makeup look every Monday. This is a normal makeup routine for me. :)

Here is the finished look:

First start off with a clean and clear face:
I use moisturizer because I have very light and dry skin
I use MAC Studio Sculpt (foundation) with my MAC 168SE brush and MAC studio finish concealer
Next I apply MAC Studio Fix powder with a Kabuki brush

The best and most important product that all make-up appliers should use are eye shadow primers. They make your eye shadow stay longer and more vibrant. I use either Urban Decay Shadow Potion or Too Faced Shadow Insurance. They both work very well, I just think you get more for your money in the Too Faced bottle.

Step 2: Apply purple eyeshadow up to crease (NARS- "Strada")

Step 3: Apply black eyeshadow onto the end of your crease line and outward, towards the end of your eyebrow (Kat von D- Beethoven Palette "Lucifer")

Step 4: Blend eyeshadow together with a fluffy brush in circular motions. (this step takes a little practice!) Add a white eyeshadow or light color to highlight your skin under your eyebrow while blending. (Victoria's Secret- Very Sexy "Wink")

Step 5: Apply black gel eyeliner (MAC- "Blacktrack") I like to use gel eyeliner with an angled brush (MAC 266) because it gives me more control and a hard look. You can use a pencil or liquid, whatever you prefer. :)
I use NYC black waterproof eyeliner pencil for my bottom waterline.

Step 6: Apply mascara to top and bottom lashes, starting at the root to tip, moving back and forth
For this look I used MAX Factor- Volume Couture in Rich Black, waterproof

Step 7: Apply blush to the apple of the cheeks, flowing upward along your cheek bone up to your hair line. (NARS- "Orgasm")
I use the MAC 2 brush and blend with my Kabuki if the color gets too strong
Make a fishy face sucking your cheeks in if you need help to see where your cheek bones are!

That's it! I'll do more complete looks with lips and pictures of cheeks once I get more into the swing of things. I hope this was good for my first go at explaining. Please let me know what you think! Any questions or suggestions are welcome! If you have a certain look you'd like me to cover let me know!

New Kittens!

I haven't posted in a very long time, but I thought it'd be nice to start back up again and what better way than to show pictures of my new little babies.

They're around 5 months old and we adopted them from a shelter. They're sisters, the only two girls from a litter of 5. The litter lived with a foster family so they were well taken care of and so sweet! We named them Luna and Lily.

~me and luna~

As you can see I've taken so many pictures! I have more pictures of my cats than pictures of my friends. lol
My 2 year old cat Sheena is still getting used to them. Hopefully she'll start playing with them soon.
